MoorControl is also Excellent for making berthing Stern In with Twin Engines very very Easy

Here is the action of the MoorControl Easy Berthing System you have viewed on the videos
explained in Six easy steps

1

Boat starts close

Approach the berth slowly, aiming for the begining of the berth instead of the end of the berth

In stronger breezes this now allows you to reduce speed and increase approach angle into the wind

You do not need to stop to pick up and secure the MoorControl Moving Mooring Line

2

The wind pushes the boat away

Use a standard boat hook pick up the MoorControl™ Moving Mooring Line (this is made easy with our special line collar and instructions)

If the line is missed, at this point you can still back out safely and try again

What happens if you miss your lines the way you do it now?

3

And Further Away - Until - MoorControl Takes over

Secure the MoorControl Moving Mooring Line to a side cleat or bollard

Steer Away from the berth to control the position of your stern, (how much depends on your boat and the wind)

4

You have control - We could have easily pulled tighter on the line and brought the boat closer

But we didn't need to

Apply just enough propeller revolutions (and steering) to move your boat into the berth and keep the stern in against the wind

When it comes to berthing speed - Less is Best

5

You "steer around" the pivot point created by the MoorControl as it slides forward

You no longer need to worry about the bow swinging out, the forward part of your boat is held from drifting sideways by the MoorControl Moving Mooring Line

You must still watch for the end of the berth and any obstructions

6

No rush for your deckhand - Everything is done more smoothly - more steadily - more easily - with MoorControl

Now you only need to pick up and secure a stern line. Instead of having to try and get two lines picked up and secured. A manoeuvring 'spring' does nothing to control sideways movement - until it is under strain at full length -why risk the danger of a sudden take up on a spring!

MoorControl Pty Ltd can take no responsibilityfor the misuse of this information, or for the use of an imitation system, or any attempt to use this method without authority or proper instructions

The MoorControl moving mooring line system

A mooring line that you can pick up on the way into a berth without actually stopping to secure it,

A mooring line that moves with you while you’re belaying it to a cleat or bollard.

A mooring line that once secured to the boat prevents the boat drifting or being blown away from the berth.

A mooring line that still allows movement forward and backwards.

A mooring line that actually gives more control than using a “spring” line and without the danger and strain

A mooring line that puts the control of the boat back where it belongs, at the helm.
